Nursery
Trinity loves its children! Nursery is provided for ages 6 weeks to 3 years and is located in the Child Care Center, across from the main church building. Our nursery staff and volunteers strive to provide a positive Christian environment for each and every child. To help make your visit to nursery a positive one, here are a few basic rules.
1. Please completely fill out a yellow nametag for your child and place it on his/her back. You can pick one up in the lobby on your way into nursery.
2. Introduce yourself and your child to nursery staff.
3. Please bring a diaper bag with the following items clearly labeled-diapers, wipes, pacifier, bottle or sippy cup. Snack is provided by the nursery, however if you have a special snack, please bring it clearly marked for your child.
4. Please give nursery staff any special instructions regarding your child in writing.
5. We work hard to provide a safe and healthy environment. For this reason, we cannot allow sick infants or toddlers into the nursery area. If your child has fever, vomitting, diarrhea or malaise, please take care of them at home and join us again the following Sunday.
Discipline Guidelines for Nursery
1. If an infant or toddler cries (and cannot be consoled) for 20 minutes without stopping, contact will be made with the parent.
2. If a toddler exhibits unacceptable behavior, they will be taken aside and asked to stop. The child will be given an alternative activity to participate in. If the behavior continues, they may be put in “time out” (one minute for every year of age). Persistent problems will be dealt with by the nursery coordinator through consultation with the child’s parents.
You are welcome to visit the nursery and ask questions prior to your first visit. Our staff can’t wait to meet you!
